About
Hands-On Technology Education

Although computer technology can be complex in it’s most advanced form, we believe that the building blocks of Mobile Technology (smartphones, tablets, etc.) are often concepts that are grasped easier by youth than adults!

Our mission is to provide learning goals, opportunities, and activities that are tailored specifically for elementary and middle-school age students. We fulfill our mission by providing workshops, after-school programs and summer camps that teach computer programming, engineering, and typing fundamentals to elementary and middle-school age kids.

As students build their own Android apps, games, and design their own circuits projects, they gain the technology exposure and confidence they need to conquer a world brimming with smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, laptops and every kind of mobile technology device you can think of!

If the student had parent permission, the student can be picked up early, ideally during camp break times. The parents will notify their schedule with the program manager in this case. -

Yes! Camps are scheduled/built so that common age groups are merged together and we actively monitor how kids are doing, both socially and academically through the camp week so that they get the best camp experience. Pre-Camp information we get from parents also helps make some early calls on best fits. Depending on the camp, some are grouped according to a pre-determined Core Activity Level. For instance, VR goes with 200 Core. However, if a 100 level student wants VR, then it's possible they'll do the 100-level Core stuff and do the VR Theme activities! -
Will the kids be able to take the game that they've created home? (Game-gineers: Play, Build, Code! (L100)) -

Yes! Campers can save games on USB keys that they bring with them or their online , free, scratch.mit.edu account which they will make at camp. We empower and encourage campers to take their games home and to keep Game-gineering well after camp is over :) -
